Big Napoleonic Game, Scarborough, 13th - 15th October

A large 28mm Napoleonic Game is to be held at the Grand Hotel, Scarborough over the weekend 13th to 15th October 2017. The cost will be £110 for the weekend for a single or double room with bed and breakfast if up to 16 people book, the price will fall if more places are taken. Eight to ten members of the Birmingham Club had already expressed an interest in attending. Please contact Steve Roberts if you are interested in in booking a place.

The meeting on 15th. March 2017 (for board games only) will be held at The Ale House, 178 Fraser Road, Sheffield S8 0JH (at the junction of Fraser Road and Periwood Lane) and not in the snooker room at Woodseats WMC as previously advertised.

Bring & Buy evening

On Wednesday 1st March SWS held it's first bring & buy evening.
The rules were simple - £1 gets you a 6-foot table and vendors were encouraged to donate 10% of their takings to the club.

In the event we had nine tables (and four games) and I think we all sold something!  I don't yet have confirmation of the club's income from the event but I'd guess at over £60.
I'd like to think we'll develop this idea and perhaps invite other clubs to participate.*
